Hunan Pharmaceutical Association Visits Tat Ka Wai Hong to Jointly Promote the Development of the Pharmaceutical and Health Industry

To implement the “Hundred-Thousand-Million Plan” by the Hunan Association for Science and Technology and to leverage the Pharmaceutical Society’s role as a platform for collaboration, a group of experts visited Tat Ka Wai Hong on the afternoon of December 11. The purpose of the visit was to gain a deeper understanding of the development status and needs of enterprise members. It also aimed to support their innovation, talent development, platform construction, and industrial planning.

The group included: Tian Kui, Director of the Pharmaceutical Administration Department of the Hunan Health Commission; Li Huande, Chairman of the Hunan Pharmaceutical Association; Zhang Biqui, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General; Zhu Yungui, Party Branch Secretary; Deng Sheng, Deputy Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Xiangya Hospital, Central South University; Li Zuojun, Deputy Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Xiangya Third Hospital, Central South University; Long Minghui, Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Hunan Cancer Hospital; Deng Yinhua, Director of the Pharmaceutical Administration Office of the Medical Affairs Department at Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital; Zhou Yulu, Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Hunan Maternal and Child Health Hospital; He Gefei, Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Changsha First Hospital; Mao Yanmei, Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Changsha Central Hospital; Chen Yanling, Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Changsha Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital; Guo Siwei, Director of the Pharmaceutical Department at Changsha Third Hospital; and Zhang Chao, Deputy Secretary-General of the Pharmaceutical Society.

Wang Yiqing, Chairman of Tat Ka Wai Hong Pharmaceutical Group, along with the senior management team, participated in the discussion, exchanging ideas on how to promote the high-quality development of Hunan’s pharmaceutical industry. The meeting was chaired by Zhu Yungui, Party Branch Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Society.

Chairman Wang Yiqing first extended a warm welcome to the visiting experts, expressing gratitude for their long-standing support to the company. He introduced the company’s recent strategic plans. After more than 20 years of development, Tat Ka Wai Hong has established a full industry chain ecosystem, covering new drug research and development, biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical distribution, retail chain pharmacies (DTP professional pharmacies), and healthcare services. Looking ahead, the company will focus on new drug development and regenerative medicine, accelerating the industrialization of research outcomes.

President Li Huande introduced the history and development of the pharmaceutical profession and the Pharmaceutical Society in Hunan. Established in May 1954, the Hunan Pharmaceutical Society has grown into a professional platform and communication link for academic exchange, experience sharing, and resource integration for pharmaceutical professionals in the province. With several generations of dedication, the society has become a key force in the advancement of the industry. Moving forward, the society will continue to contribute to the academic promotion, scientific research collaboration, talent development, and innovative practices in pharmaceutical services, further supporting its member organizations and driving the development of the biopharmaceutical industry in Hunan.

Professor Tan Guishan, the Head of R&D at Tat Ka Wai Hong, introduced the company’s ongoing projects to the experts.

Ms. Chen Xiangrong, Deputy General Manager of Hunan Tat Ka Wai Hong Pharmaceutical Marketing Co., Ltd., introduced the company’s product mix to the experts.

Subsequently, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on how to promote enterprise development by innovation, the application of essential medicines, and collaboration between hospitals and enterprises.

Secretary-General Zhang Bi Kui stated that enterprises, the Pharmaceutical Society, and medical institutions should work together to provide suggestions and advice for the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Hunan Province, and help bring the ‘Hunan People, Hunan Medicine’ initiative to fruition.

Tian Kui, Director of the Pharmaceutical Administration Department of the Hunan Provincial Health Commission, stated that this exchange activity is worth learning from. Government departments will further facilitate the establishment of communication platforms for enterprises, associations, and institutions, actively providing services to jointly promote the development of the biopharmaceutical industry chain in the province.

After the meeting, the experts visited Tat Ka Wai Hong’s Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmaceutical Technology Culture Center and R&D Center, expressing their admiration for the company’s commitment to preserving TCM culture and its strategic focus on new drug development.
