Guo Rui, Secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of Changsha Association for Science and Technology, delivered the 2024 work report. In 2024, Changsha Association for Science and Technology took the initiative to build 6 new expert workstations around the construction of global R&D center cities, and 18 expert workstations were awarded the title of Hunan Province Expert Workstation for 2024; Successfully introduced a team of 12 academicians and experts, transformed over 300 scientific research achievements, assisted enterprises in obtaining over 600 patents, provided scientific and technological services to more than 50 enterprises, and trained over 2100 scientific and technological talents in enterprises. Publish a new IP of “Science Popularization Metaverse”, organize 133 “National Science Popularization Day” series activities within the city, newly recognize 27 science popularization education bases in Changsha, recommend 29 units to be awarded provincial science popularization education bases, and achieve full coverage of science popularization education bases within the city. Looking forward to 2025, the Changsha Association for Science and Technology system will focus on the four major aspects of gathering wisdom of scientific and technological talents, gathering energy through scientific and technological innovation, gathering efficiency through popular science services, and cohesion of grass-roots organizations. It will focus on the implementation of 12 key tasks, unite and lead the vast number of scientific and technological workers with greater strength, and strive to achieve the beautiful blueprint of “three high and four new”, promote high-quality development, and write a new chapter of Chinese path to modernization in Changsha.

Ma Wensheng, member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Hunan Association for Science and Technology, stated that as the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference are about to successfully conclude, the Municipal Association for Science and Technology has held a plenary meeting at Tat Ka Wai Hong Pharmaceutical Group to summarize experience and deploy work. This not only reflects the high political position and strong sense of responsibility of the organization and scientific workers of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, but also reflects the awareness of actively serving enterprises and strengthening the integration of science and technology with industry development. After the meeting, all attending members visited the Tat Ka Wai Hong Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Culture Museum. As a science popularization education base and a demonstration unit of new quality productivity science popularization in Hunan Xiangjiang New Area, Tat Ka Wai Hong Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Culture Museum, under the guidance of the provincial and municipal science and technology associations, aims to promote national quintessence and benefit the people through the construction of the science popularization brand “Xinglin Jiahui”. It creates diverse application scenarios such as organizational party building, enterprise team building, learning salons, science popularization exchanges, and parent-child research.
